Shoulder

Tecarpuls is commonly used in various shoulder problems.

It’s most common use in in chronic shoulder problems where heating of the tissues is not an issue.

In a recent study Kim et al. (2019) treated patients with at least 1 month of shoulder pain with RF they found a reduction in pain and improved function in the treated group. However the authors compared RF to ultrasound treatment and said they were equally effective.

Below is a demonstration of using the Tecarpuls in shoulder impingement syndrome. Tecarpuls offers a good non invasive alternative for patients with a chronic impingement syndrome.

In the next video Tecarpuls is used to treat non specific anterior shoulder joint capsulitis or frozen shoulder. This treatment can also be used pre mobilisation to increase the elasticity of the tissues prior to treatment.

Here is an example of Tecarpuls used for rotator cuff dysfunction: In chronic rotator cuff problems where degeneration is suspected Tecarpuls can increase the blood flow to the area which has been shown to increase the healing rate.

In the next video Tecarpulse is used to treat sub achromial bursitis. This can be done in the acute phase but is most often done in chronic bursitis.
