Safe Use

To use the machine a suitable dielectric medium must be used. This is normally the cream supplied with the machine which is a consumable item.

This medium insulates the metallic/ceramic applicators from the skin surface, thereby forming a capacitor with the treated tissues.

The cream is necessary as the frequency of the RF is not high enough to be able to conduct through air.

There are 2 different sizes of treatment head. The size is chosen according to the size of the body area being treated.

The return electrode is metallic and is cylindrically shaped. It must be kept in firm contact with the patient at all times.

Other than holding the applicator (which includes intensity adjustment and a start/pause button)….

If you touch the patient or they touch you, you may get a shock as the current arcs between you and the patient. This can lead to contact discoloration of the touched areas.

The return electrode must stay firmly affixed to the patient with contact medium on it otherwise this too may arc and cause contact discoloration.
